Since 1995 I’ve had a presence on the internet. The mark I’ve left could be classified between the range of horrid to magnificent.
My first homepage was a Geocities site that had animated gifs, hyped up links to my favorite sites at the time, and tons of stolen video game information. Created using basic HTML and Netscape Navigator Gold 3.0 I learned a lot making my first website and will always have fond memories of hacking way at it.
When I attended Grand Valley State University for reasons I will never understand I decided to co-author a website with Vo. It was one of those websites that I wish I could bury but I just can’t. Hosted on Freeservers it was a brief rundown of my current friends at the time. Some of the information on there is so embarrassing I won’t link to it here.
As I progressed though school I finally got my site to a place where I wanted it to be. My Student CICS page (no longer active or and only viewable on archive.org) had a proper blog, pictures and was much more professional that anything else I made previously . Even today I still like the design.
Now we have vanlandw.com. “vanlandw” comes from my userID from college. My group of friends have seemed to adopted nicknames out of our user ID’s thus why I’m “vanlandw“.
Currently I’m an employee of http://www.spectrum-health.org/, living in http://www.visitgrandrapids.org/, Graduate of http://www.gvsu.edu/, and and I’m 27 years old. I’ve found mild internet success with my project http://www.bauercount.com.
