After being absolutely blown away this Friday seeing “Rambo” I stumbled upon without question the best news of the day.
FIFTH RAMBO PLANNED
Words cannot express how elated I am with this news. All four Rambo movies are personal favorites and Sylvester Stallone once again proved that he is the best action star ever. Even at 61 years of age Rambo just takes the viewer in an unadulterated action extravaganza of violence and sheer male-hood. For the male viewer Rambo comes highly recommended from vanlandw.

PS - If anybody can pass along the song featured in the internet exclusive trailer I would be very happy to receive it. According to the IMDB FAQ Page for Rambo they say the music came from the score for the George Romero horror film, Land of the Dead (2005). Also if anybody has any news regarding the Rambo soundtrack please let me know.
This morning a not so funny story was passed along that is hopefully results in a funny blog post. The best part of the article is the particular headline. Image posted in case woodtv.com has a case of the “picking it up’s.” Without further pause…West Michigan reporting at it’s finest…

Now, I understand where they were going with the headline. The text from the story states…
“He knew a lot of people. He touched a lot of people,” said Sherri Riley, another daughter.
Regardless if you were just blindsided by a random linking I can imagine the first thing you would think about the victim is he’s the president of “Persons Against Aphephobia” or PAA for short. If I was the web content editor for woodtv.com there is no way I would have allowed a headline like that. Don’t they watch Headlines by Jay Leno? This is the type of stuff people catch!
Regardless my sympathy’s to the family for their loss, and thank you to woodtv.com for a chuckle.
When going though my feeds I stumbled upon an interesting site called Walk Score.

What Walk Score does is “help people find walkable places to live. Walk Score calculates the walkability of an address by locating nearby stores, restaurants, schools, parks, etc”.
Living downtown Grand Rapids I’ve always found my neighborhood to be quite walkable. There are coffee houses, landmarks, libararies, and various location to attend minus a automobile. If I had the extra cash to pony up for a bike my non-car circle would expand.
When running the test for my house I was shocked to find out I live within eight locations that are classified as bars. Also according to their site I wouldn’t count Circle K/Ghetto Mart as a “Grocery Store”.
My house according to their site is “Very Walkable” with a score of 72. They say “It’s possible to get by without owning a car” but they don’t take into consitertion working. I need to look into taking the Rapid to get to work I would do next to anything to get rid of my car.
Anybody else live in a more “walkable” location?
Today I was watching “The Wire” season 3 while getting some work done. By mistake I ended up hitting the “title” button and was greeted with the following error message.
”DVD Player encountered a system error, -69889″
After doing some google’ing and some Apple - Support - Discussions searches this thread was all I could find regarding that error.Personally I don’t think it’s an issue with my DVD drive. VLC was able to play my DVD fine. Moreover I tried rebooting and deleting the file com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist in ~/Library/Preferences. My disk was also clean.Anybody else have any ideas? I’ll post a screen shot when I get a chance of the error and if I find a solution I’ll post it also.
UPDATE: Today I came home and installed some software and ended up doing another reboot thus clearing up this issue. Hopefully this issue was just a one shot deal but I would consider this a resolved issue.
