There was one person I was going to email this dawn of Christmas Morning but decided just to update my website instead.
No sappy update just a Merry Christmas to my readership and the special few that make my existence very very simple and enjoyable. Right now I’m at home listening to Christmas music in front of the fire being a lazy pampered jerk. Time to go to bed before a busy day tomorrow.
Everybody over eat today and hopefully nobody reads this update before it’s too late. GET OFF YOUR COMPTUERS

One of my favorite places to shop is Bargain Books. Rarely do I ever buy brand new books. It’s tough to spend $25 dollars on new hard cover books when Bargain Books always has decent selection of reading material cheap.
While doing my Christmas shopping last weekend I inquired if Bargain Books is doing their annual 1st of the year 50% off all books. THEY ARE
January 1st 2008 (New Years Day) all books are 50% off. I urge all my Grand Rapids citizens to make the trip and purchase some books. Reading is good for you. Last year I got a beautiful Atlas for $13 dollars.
My personal favorite is the 29th Street location, but you can also go to Centerpointe Mall or the Alpine location.
Two weeks ago I switched from using Bloglines to Google Reader as my main Web-based RSS aggregator. There were a few reasons behind my switch. One Google Reader has a Wii version of their site. Moreover I really like the way Google Reader handles Shared Items. I don’t spend much time on Digg or sites of the like but I do want to mark from time to time sites from my feeds I find interesting. The Trends tracked by Google Reader is pretty damn cool as well.
Recently Google Reader has made a change so the reader view can view your google contacts shared items. From the Official Google Reader Blog…
“So, we’ve linked up Reader with Google Talk (also known as chat in Gmail) to make your shared items visible to your friends from Google Talk. Once you’ve logged into Reader and been notified of the change, these friends will be able to see your shared items in the Reader left-hand navigation area under “Friends’ shared items”.
I love this feature. So far I’ve been able to find Kramer and R***y on here and I’ve found a few great sites from them and what they have been sharing. Anybody else on google reader so I can add them? Also if your not a user of Google Reader you can still view my shared items, also I added a link on the nav.
Now that the picture has grabbed your attention here is a little fun site I forgot to mention on here. Should Do this is a site where you can “Submit your suggestions for improving products, companies, non-profits and the world around you.”
Awhile ago I thought it would be a good idea to submit my suggestions for jjafuller and for him to “update his website” would be a good suggestion. Really you can make suggestions for anybody or anything. In retalation jja thought it would be a good idea to make suggestions for vanlandw as well. Hopefully the two of us can obtain some more suggestions.

Now that the picture has grabbed your attention I’m just putting out a “feeler” to see what all my fellow Grand Rapids denizens are doing for New Years Eve. Currently I have to work New Years Eve till 4:10p and have New Years Day off. We are mostly just trying to get an idea what everybody has going on there.
Without further pause.“what’s up for new years”
