Apparently I had the most Lazy Sunday of all time. I woke up and ate tons of food and watched the newest Mythbusters (Shattering Subwoofer/Rough Road Driving). Then I went home and drank coffee and ate crap loads of food while computing and watching four movies. In order..
I honestly haven’t watched many movies recently so it was nice to watch some action flicks and LMAO. Clearly Rambo 2 was my favorite. Somebody should do a very “bauercount’esqu” count of how many people Rambo kills in that movie because at one point he is killing people almost constantly. If this type of weekend comes up again can anybody think of just any hugely violent films we missed?
Update: I forgot about Robocop :-[!

A big selling point of the xbox 360 has to be Geometry Wars. I’ve wanted to play the game since seeing a demo on TV but really can one jusitify paying $400+ dollars to play a $5 puzzle game?
Finally I found about the perfect clone….
Sadly development has been stopped by Microsoft…
Forums come though again…
Grid Wars 2 is a pretty fun and addicting game and I recommend to everybody. A version for both PC and Mac OS X exist but sadly are not supported or being developed anymore. Seems that Bizarre Creations (A Microsoft Development House) is protecting their copy write and stopping “clones” of their game. I hate to say this but I do agree with them. Grid Wars 2 is pretty much Geometry Wars BUT it was being released for free and if Bizarre cared so much about this why don’t they release a PC/OSX version?
After doing some searching I was able to find downloadables of the game (that includes a Star Wars addon) and played it for hours. I need to get a good game controller for my Mac.
Just in case this doesn’t hit the major news sites I just want to make sure everybody is aware of this. Confirmed from Microsoft it seems the Halo Movie seems to have targeted release date and a director named. According to “Gamasutra” it seems Summer 2008 is the date and Neill Blomkamp will be the director. I know every other nerd on the planet including myself was HOPING Peter Jackson would direct. Instead we get a first time movie director taking the helm in maybe the last movie I am seriously looking forward to.
Personally I hope he does a fantastic job but of COURSE I’m afraid he may just screw it up. From what I’ve read he seems to have potential so I’m not going to be a negative nancy.
Update: Yeah this “Neill Blomkamp” guy sounds like an idiot. On AICN he gave an interview and about the movie and said an awful thing…
Quint: Will we see Master Chief’s face?
Neill Blomkamp: You’ll have to wait and see.
He should have said flat out “no”….
Quint: As far as Master Chief’s voice, will you consider Steve Downes, who voiced the character for the games or will you more than likely go with a bigger name?
Neill Blomkamp: It’s just too early to be able to know anything like that yet.
He should have said “Steve will voice”….
Quint: I know this is very early, but will any of Marty O’Donnell’s score from the game make it over to the film? Is he a contender to compose the score for the movie?
Neill Blomkamp: It’s just way too early for any decisions like that
He should have said “yes”….
What a noob.
This weekend it was decided that “lil gato” needed to go to the vet. To be honest I’m not even sure why I’m bothering to recap this moment in time when “GATO” already did such a good job doing it. Regardless I’m getting quite good at this “piggy backing” off others posts so as they say “you might as well go with it”.
As is visible in the photo to the left the ladies next store let us borrow their feline cage. Oddly enough he pretty much volunteered himself to the “box” after a small bribe of a gato treat. While driving in the Cutlass all the cat did was cry and whine of sadness. If I can’t handle a cat meow’ing while traveling I’m clearly never having offspring. The vet was actually a pretty cool guy. He got right down the business but seemed to do a good job checking out the overall health of the cat. Seems the cat is a “male” and is about 3-4 months old. Also he passed all his exams and has nothing out of the ordinary other then a mild case of fleas. I forgot to ask a few questions I wanted to but otherwise a very productive trip. He has a few more exams to take part in but so far so good!
I left out a lot of details so please read what the “gato” wrote on this expedition because she did a much better job then I did
For my birthday my grandparents got me a window air conditioner for my room. This past weekend I went home for the weekend to celebrate my birthday so I had to drive this box all the way back from Farmington Hills and into my house.
The Gato and myself spent quite some time installing this device into my dormitory. Put the whole thing together during a 87F evening. Sweating and poured our SOULS into getting the air conditioner into the window. I ended up plugging it into the wall awaiting the nice cold air to absolve my sweat. What I ended up with was the complete opposite of what my desires were. APPARENTLY after hitting “power” the engine sounded like the bathroom after a Mongolian Barbeque trip.
Now my room is in utter disarray and parts of this defective air cooler is thrown around. I am sure the air conditioner was not cheap so a call to my grandparents is in order and hope they kept the recept.
**EDIT**
Today I got the recept in the mail from my grandparents. I will go to Lowes tomorrow and try to either get cash or at least another air conditioner.
**EDIT 2**
This past weekend I went to “Lowes” and returned the broken conditioner with no incident. They gave me store credit and I was happy with that. Not unexpected two Lowes had not one single conditioner that wasn’t over 11,000 BTU’s so I wasn’t able to replace it yet. MORE TO COME!
