Blockbuster 75% Deal / CC $8.97 Deal

Last night me and vanbergs attacked two Game Rush’s looking for cheap videogames. I’m a sucker for buying games that don’t cost hardly anything so I figured lets go all out and see what I can find. Here is a list of what I got and it may increase with an impending trip possibly after trabajo. If anybody is interested here is a link to CAG (registration required) for information on the deal.

Zelda 2: The Adventures of Link GBA Sticker: $14.99 Bought: $2.50
Castlevania GBA Sticker $9.99 Bought: $2.50
Texas Hold ‘Em Poker DS Sticker: $19.99 Bought: $5.00
Polarium DS Sticker: $29.99 Bought: $7.50
Project Snowblind Xbox Sticker: $9.99 Bought: $2.50
Viewitful Joe 2 PS2 Sticker: $14.99 Bought: $3.75
Killer 7 GCN Sticker: $14.99 Bought: $3.75
Tiger Woods PGA Tour Golf 2005 DS Sticker: $29.99 Bought: $7.50
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 2: Battle Nexus GCN Sticker: $19.99 Bought: $5.00

List Price: $164.91
Bought after tax: $42.40
Savings: $122.51

After tax I saved just a SHADE under 75% but regardless pretty killer deal IMHO. I also attacked the $8.97 deal at CC recently. CAG link to that deal here. Here are those numbers.

Advanced Wars DS Sticker: $34.99 Bought: $8.97
Metroid Prime Pinball DS Sticker: $32.99 Bought: $8.97
Meteos DS Sticker: $29.99 Bought: $8.97
Final Fantasy 1+2 Dawn of Souls GBA Sticker: $19.99 Bought: $8.97

List Price: $117.96
Bought after Tax: $38.03
Savings: $79.93

Overall as a new DS owner I got really lucky with these deals. I also have New Super Mario Brothers (Used $14 dollars of gift card credit at BB), Metroid: Zero Mission (50% of GR f/ $10 I used credit got for free), Castlevania: Dawn of Sorrow ($5 off any DS game coupon at TRU over paid), Brain Age (Free with the DS Purchase), and Final Fantasy IV Advanced (Used rest of GR credit $17 out of pocket).

I am a dutch nerd. So I spent a shade over $100 and got a crap load of videogames. Not bad. Now i just having to find some time to play them. I’ll update this post if I end up getting anything else.

While I was entertained by your post, I thought it was funny how it is the third in a row (not counting the “post” about you and vanberge being in cahoots to form the ugliest possible theme) that centered on coupons/saving money/deals. Just a casual observation… ;-)

to save dollars, you have to NOT SPEND dollars….
Even for all your efforts at saving, you are ultimately out over a hundred clams…

(I laud your choice of where to actually NOT save though….)

    So King Van hath spake…

    ; )

King Van needs to ‘pick it up’….

  6. vanbergs says:

I think the only way for “King Van” to pick it up is to hand his Cuda keys off to his “Youngest Van Prince” ;-)
