I miss the old CS days..
Deviation is a lovely short film about a video-game character’s existential crisis. It was made using the Counter Strike game-engine, and was selected for incusion in the Tropfest@Tribeca Film Festival.
I remember back in college watching CS movies and thinking they were fantasic. I still have my favorites on a HD somewhere. The Militia series were always cool I’ll try to find a link at some point. In the mean time watch ‘Deviation’ and tell me what you think.
Link: ‘Deviation’

Yeah, it is ok I guess. It is too short, and has pacing issues.
you are kinda like that guy on digg that will post the first comment disliking the linked story then nobody else will comment and then that article has no chance of making the front page
:-p
jk I thought it was kinda cool. if you played the game you got the joke thus I thought it was a fun short and worthy of a new post for vanlandw.com :-*
It always amazed me that Russ was really good at CS.
OT: this video proves my jack bauer woman point perfectly. he needs a static woman for a while. if they kill off audrey i’ll be pissed. soundtrack by one of my favorite bands, sigur ros:

Wow, sigur ros is really, really terrible russ.
are you kidding me? they are fucking amazing.
Jack Bauer is never going to have a “static” woman again. He is like 40 years old. He has had mistresses he has had a wife. Now he’s on the run saving the world clearing his name. BUT if Audrey lives this season and depending on how the last three hours goes maybe he will get a “steady”…who fudging knows :-*
I’ll watch the video tonight and give you an update on the tunes :-*
That video is bullshit, Rusty. Furthermore, it confirms my theory that UK people should not be allowed to make “music.”
they’re from iceland, dick.
