Ef You Treyarch...

I Loath Filling Up

A few days ago I needed to put petrol into my Oldsmobile Cutlass.  It was a pretty depressing ordeal. While watching hours of work pour into my automobile  I remember when I used to put $10 dollars a gas into my car about every week and a half.  Now with my commute about doubled with class, work and trying to maintain a semi-normal social life I fill up about every one and a half to two weeks. Tuesday for the second time in a month I put $40 dollars of gas in my car.

I have spoke at lenght (twenty seconds) about this dilemma with .hw (lmao domain expired) and he said to shut up and take the bus. With the way my schedule has been taking the bus would just take way to much time.  Also taking the bus to the bar would be a tad embarrassing.

With classes ending next week my driving COULD cut down a tad.  My office will be moving from walking distance to 60th street in about a week so I will still be driving about 20+ miles a day. The only reason I’m writing this post is so I can link to this photo that made me laugh.

I totally dislike getting gas……

NEVER use the term “petrol” every again.

    PETROL :-*

    I’m part english :-*

  3. Jeff says:

You are apparently, also, part WPE.

Every time I pass someone in a Hummer, I flip them off. Sure, they don’t see me flipping them off, but it makes me feel better. I just want to ask every Hummer driver/owner “Gas is $2.89 per gallon. How’s that Hummer workin’ out for ya?” Idiots.

  5. Jeff says:

People who drive hummers can afford the gas.

  6. vanlandw says:

    “Jeff”…whoever he is…..is right

it’s the people with old cars that get decent gas milage that can’t afford it.

but it does frustrate me knowing that cocks with yukons and explorers getting 10mpg and it doesn’t matter how much gas they use they can afford it

  7. Edge says:

So what if they can afford the gas! NO ONE needs to drive a Hummer. There is not one reason on the face of the planet that a Hummer is a necessary vehicle in the state of Michigan or anywhere. F*ck ‘em, dude. Also, screw people with huge ass boats while I’m at it.

I hope gas keeps going up.

the best thing that could happen to this country is us running completely out of oil.

  9. Jeff says:

Yeah, it would be great if our entire economy feel flat on its face and the nation was hurled into some kind of civil war. It’ll be just like real life counter-strike, Eric!

  10. vanlandw says:

yeah i hate to agree with “Jeff” but our entire country would just self destruct if we ran out of oil

nobody could get to work and the united states would be over taken by every other country and we would become Iraq2

    I drive an explorer.

How many cars do you see on the road with only one passenger picking thier nose and toodling along for no apparent effing reason? If gas would just hit $5 a gallon, I would have no other choice but to purchase the road bike of my ever-loving dreams and pedal my happy ass to Holland every day for work. I would be fine with that.

As long as I am warm and content in my domicile, ef the Scion.

    good point sheer feline

the best thing you can do is limit your trips….keep your windows shut…don’t run your accessories when you don’t need them.

when gas got really bad in the summer i went an entire month with out filling up mostly by only driving when i had to and putting all my trips together when i went out

to some though it don’t matter…if your upper middle class gas prices don’t hurt you too much…

i don’t make shit so spending $80 a month on fuel hurts. I’ve gotten so obsessive i’m taken out my spare tire to save some weight :-[

this is a pretty heated debate :-[

  14. Edge says:

Emily, you have a sport model, so you’re probably getting 11 miles per gallon? lol?
Being within walking distance of work (.4 miles) is the best thing that ever happened to me. Wherever I get a job next I think it will be extremely important that I can walk there. Screw gas hogs.

  15. Edge says:

    That is exactly right.

  16. Jeff says:

I the closest I have ever been to where I work is twenty miles. I also have and continue to commute to Grand Valley. I cannot honestly imagine how suffocated I would feel if everything I needed to do was within walking distance.

  17. Edge says:

Do you also drive a Hummer?

  18. vanlandw says:

JJAFULLER drives a very nice olds cutlass :-*

  19. Jeff says:

Yes, vanlandw and I drive very similar vehicles.

  21. Kramer says:

The solution to the so-called oil crisis is simple. Invade Canada.

  22. vanlandw says:

fulljeff….my car has 50000 miles and minimal rust….how many does YOUR HAVE??? :-*

rusty….you drive a pretty decent car. i’m shocked they got rid of them to be honest they don’t make the sunfire anymore!!!! :-(

kramer….canada should just give up and give us everything we want. personally i have no idea what is going to help the oil crisis….maybe no more natural disasters and iraq getting their shit together?

  23. Jeff says:

My car has over 100,000 miles because I actually use it. Also, virtually no rust.

Kramer, if we invaded Canada, then we would just sit on the oil and leave it in reserves like we do now.

  24. vanlandw says:

I drive quite a bit to be honest jjafuller. On average at the least 30 miles a day other then weekends. I thought your car was rusty….whoops…mine has a bit it needs a good wax.

I would be curious to know how much oil is left and how long it’s going to last for.

My next car should be a “Flexfuel” auto :-[

  25. Jeff says:

You should close the comments on this post and move on.

  26. Kramer says:

I don’t care if we put the oil in the reserves or use it, I just want to put those moose humpers in their place.

  27. HelloKittn says:

…and those pesky mounties. Damn them and their hammertime pants.

  28. vanlandw says:

we should send kim bauer and all the cougars to canada while stealing their fuel and their best hockey players.

  29. russ says:

I just sounded off on gas today. I also discovered the Bauercount! Excelsior.
