Before I became a librarian, I read like crazy and fast. Now that I have books in my face all day long and see all the news books that come out and see what other readers recommend, I’ve become a terrible reader. I start about six books a month without finishing because there are SO MANY BOOKS TO READ. It’s a vicious cycle. Also, all that media is time consuming. It takes me three days to watch a movie at home. I’m feeling you on this topic.

My whole life seems to revolve around media. My job, my personal life, my action movie Sunday, my hobbies, and my home life. There are thousands upon thousands of items of media that I would like to consume or enjoy. Buy alas, I’m like you Vanlandw. I just don’t have the time. I think if I get some aspects of my life in order and simplify my existence, I can find more time in my life to enjoy a good book, good movie, good walk, or a good photo.
