→ Counting the Mobile Costs for Bing

Costs for both Google and Microsoft are difficult to parse, but given Microsoft’s approach it may be that Yahoo may be paying less than it costs to run Bing searches.

I don’t have a clue how Microsoft makes money on Bing. The article focuses on mobile search but using Bing Rewards I’ve gotten over $50 in rewards since that program started. Looking further into it it appears Microsoft’s Online Services Division isn’t doing so hot.

The Kenyan Runner Who Brought Out the Best in the Olympics

Rudisha didn’t fade much; he won, set a world record, and stretched his long arms out toward the sky. Meanwhile, Amos ran faster than any runner-up in history. Solomon and Symmonds didn’t medal, but they were faster than any previous fourth- and fifth-place finishers. Everyone ran faster than he had ever run before

View the Race on YouTube. These guys are running so fast and Rudisha never falls apart it’s amazing. I didn’t really “watch” the Olympics this year but in Track and Field there were many amazing stories and performances.

Head Games Trailer (YouTube)

Head Games tells the story of football player and wrestler Chris Nowinski’s quest to uncover the truth about the consequences of sports related head injuries.

Looks great can’t wait to see it. Sad the trailer didn’t include Kitna getting laid out. While you are watching trailers everybody should watch the trailer for Cloud Atlas.

Rage Against the Machine’s guitarist blasts Romney’s VP pick and unlikely Rage fan

Don’t mistake me, I clearly see that Ryan has a whole lotta “rage” in him: A rage against women, a rage against immigrants, a rage against workers, a rage against gays, a rage against the poor, a rage against the environment. Basically the only thing he’s not raging against is the privileged elite he’s groveling in front of for campaign contributions.

Tom Morello is just awesome, he said what everybody should be thinking. Also read Jodie Foster’s op-ed about the coverage on the Kristen Stewart story. Scathing comments alert on both stories.
